The Mediator of the French Republic, through enhanced international cooperation:
• fosters or facilitates the creation of similar institutions in countries seeking to reinforce the rule of law,
• promotes mediation around the world , across networks like the International Ombudsman Institute (I.O.I.) or the Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie (Association of Ombudsmen and Mediators in the French-Speaking World - A.O.M.F.),
• and is involved in promoting human rights internationally .
